Writing Services
Wakaya grew up in a place and a family that is filled with stories. They have spent the last decade cultivating their own voice and improving their craft in poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. Wakaya is honored to share their own work and healing, and also to work with others in sharing their own story with the world.

Performances/Keynote
Performances/keynotes can include poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and storytelling about a range of topics and themes including identity, mental health, colonialism, gender and sexuality, family, healing, and Indigeneity.

Writing Workshops
Workshops are designed to inspire and generate creativity in participants. Writing starts with the self and workshops aim to hold a mirror up and allow folks to see, feel, and create language that speaks to their experience in this world.


Editing/Critique
This service includes moderate to extensive revision of work (novel, poetry, short story, non-fiction) and will focus on things like voice, point of view, characterization, imagery, plot, theme, as well as other items that need attention.
